چکیده

A good dimensional stability is a crucial property of any base-platform structure for the attachment high precision optical or mechanical devices, such as imaging equipment, satellite antennas, thermal sensors, etc., where surrounding temperature may fluctuate substantially. The present study demonstrates how in form dual-composite, planar-lattice can be designed and rapidly, conveniently, manufactured using 3D printing via fused filament fabrication (FFF). Specifically, consists central cross-lattice continuous carbon-fibre reinforced polyamide (CCF/PA) composite with four interlocking outer-strips short (SCF/PA) composite. Numerical finite-element analyses planar-lattices are developed, validated by experimental results, respect to their thermal-deformation behaviour. This numerical analysis then used effects various types fibre architecture composites that might manufacture planar-lattice. results demonstrate, first time, ability printing, FFF, structures which use dual-composite materials, based upon order achieve very thermal-dimensional stability.

Customized 3D printed ankle-foot orthosis with adaptable carbon fibre composite spring joint

Neuromuscular disorders and injuries such as cerebral palsy and stroke often result in foot-drop which can result in a person having great difficulty walking. Ankle foot orthoses (AFOs) or splints have been prescribed for many years now to limit the range of motion of the ankle, provide the patients with support and assist with rehabilitation. However the majority of AFOs require a long, labour...

Free Vibration of Lattice Cylindrical Composite Shell Reinforced with Carbon Nano-tubes

The free vibration of the lattice cylindrical composite shell reinforced with Carbon Nano-tubes (CNTs) was studied in this study. The theoretical formulations are based on the First-order Shear Deformation Theory (FSDT) and then by enforcing the Galerkin method, natural frequencies are obtained. In order to estimate the material properties of the reinforced polymer with nano-tubes, the modified...

Compressive response of a 3D non-woven carbon-fibre composite

The compressive response of a three-dimensional (3D) non-interlaced composite comprising three orthogonal sets of carbon fibre tows within an epoxy matrix is analysed. First, the compressive response is measured in three orthogonal directions and the deformation/failure modes analysed by a combination of X-ray tomography and optical microscopy. In contrast to traditional unidirectional and two-...

Machining of Fibre Reinforced Plastic Composite Materials

Fibre reinforced plastic composite materials are difficult to machine because of the anisotropy and inhomogeneity characterizing their microstructure and the abrasiveness of their reinforcement components. During machining, very rapid cutting tool wear development is experienced, and surface integrity damage is often produced in the machined parts. An accurate selection of the proper tool and m...
